Social Workers / Mental Health Counselors

Are you an approved provider for Social Workers / Mental Health Counselors in New York State?

In the State of New York, SWEET Institute is approved by the Office of Professions under Dr. Sidor Psychiatric Services as a CEU provider for social workers (#SW-0471) and mental health counselors (#MHC-0127).

What course types are eligible for CEU credits for me?

Most of our  live online and self study courses are eligible for CEU credits for Licensed Social Workers and Mental Health Counselors in the state of New York. 

I can’t find SWEET Institute listed as a CEU Provider in New York State

That is correct, SWEET Institute operates under the umbrella of Dr. Sidor Psychiatric Services, PLLC.  

What do I need to do to get my certificate after taking a course?

A post-test and evaluation are required for each online seminar.  

A score of at least 80% on the post-test is required.

Your certificate will be automatically generated and emailed directly to you. Please make sure you check your spam, social, promotions, updates, and junk mail folders just in case it ends up there. 

What happens if I fail the post-test?

You may take the post-test up to 3 times.  Should you not pass the post-test after 3 attempts, please email us at contact@sweetinstitute.com and we will enroll you in the self-study version so you can review the course and have the opportunity to take the post-test again.

Are you an approved provider for Psychologists in New York State?

In the State of New York, SWEET Institute is approved by the Office of Professions under Dr. Sidor Psychiatric Services as a CEU provider for and psychologists (PSY-0057)

Social Workers

Are you an approved provider for Social Workers in my state?

Most of our live online seminars are eligible for CEU credits in 47 states 

There are more than 400 self-study webinars available for CEU credits in 47 states. Please ensure that you check the information page of the course to determine eligibility in your state.  

SWEET courses are NOT approved by the NASW National CE Approval Program in: Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia.

Can I get in-person hours toward my CEU credits by attending your live seminars?

Both our live online seminars and self-study webinars may provide CEU credits, however some states count self-study webinars and live online seminars  toward total licensing differently.

All 50 states licensing boards approve all live online seminars as distance learning/self-study credits. And 35 states count live online seminars  CEU credits the same as in-person CEU credits. Please contact your State Licensing Board to verify.

I have multiple licenses for states you are approved in. Does this webinar count in those states?

Yes, as long you are licensed in any of the 47 states where our webinars are approved. 

When completing your evaluation, in the text box that asks for your license number, enter the license number and state in parenthesis for all the states you are approved in. For example: 123456 (NY); 987654 (MN); 567123 (KS)

Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)

Do your courses count towards my CASAC licensing?

We are not approved to provide continuing ed to Substance Use Counselors outside of New York State.

Most of our live online and self study courses are eligible for CEU credits for Licensed CASACs in the state of New York.
