Introduction

During this full-day workshop, we will guide you through an experiential learning process where you will be learning the single root cause of suicide, how to address it, and how to help bring a sustainable result.

  1. How to reliably conduct a suicide risk assessment
  2. How to effectively intervene during an acute suicide risk situation
  3. How to effectively manage chronic suicidality, mitigate risk, and prevent suicide

What else do I need to know about this full-day workshop?

  1. You will learn the mechanism of the contagion of suicide, how to unpack its underlying cause, and how to master the principles of suicide risk assessment and intervention.
  2. You will master the 10 principles of suicide risk assessment and intervention, the 10 techniques of managing a suicide risk situation, and how to mitigate the 10 risk factors for suicide.
  3. You will master the 10 do’s and don’ts of suicide risk assessment and intervention, as well as learn the available interventions and how to tailor them.

  1. Secrets and Soft Skills of Suicide Risk Assessment
  2. Suicide Risk Assessment: The Principles to Master
  3. Sense of Safety

There will be approximately two 15-minute breaks and a 1-hour lunch break.

Please note: This is a Full-Day Online Workshop where all three modules will be presented.

Who is this for?

This course is for you who are invested in learning new skills and/or honing existing ones to be able to use in a dynamic way to support your patients and clients, your loved ones and/or yourself to end suffering once and for all.

KEY INFORMATION:

Each of the three modules of this course is eligible for 2 CEUs for social workers through the NASW National CE Approval Program in 46 states, for a total of 6 CEUs.

Each of the three modules of this course is also eligible for 2 CEUs for Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASACs), and Psychologists in New York State, for a total of 6 CEUs.
