Introduction

Is mindfulness just some “thing” people keep talking about, or is it an evidence-based practice that sets the tone for success for your clients regardless of what modality you may be using? SWEET is inviting you to find out as part of its vision to be the place where clinicians like you have a clear pathway to fulfill your dreams of doing the best with what you have.

This seminar is part of a series on DBT, which in turn is part of a weekly lecture-style series. If you are licensed in New York as a psychologist, social worker, or mental health counselor, you will be able to earn 1 CEU from each lecture-style seminar.

This series is also open for all other health professionals of any level or field throughout the United States and abroad.

Thank you for registering now to join us.

What you’ll learn

At the end of this online seminar, you will have:

  1. Learned how to help your clients accept and tolerate powerful emotions, view situations with no judgment, and how to reduce distress in their day-to-day life
  2. Learned how to help your clients experience the present moment more fully, while focusing less on painful experiences from the past or frightening possibilities in the future
  3. Learned how to help your clients overcome habitual, negative judgments about themselves and others, overcome their current eating habits, and how to let go of their self-sabotaging behaviors
