Introduction

You may be familiar with the levels of awareness, but how the 8 Sublevels of Awareness are really connected to success when our patients and clients are trying to achieve behavioral change is something we all can benefit from to help them in a totally different way.

Please join us, and we will look specifically at experiences of shame, embarrassment, guilt, hopelessness, senses of loss, fear, desire, anger, and false pride, as influencers to how (1) habits are created, and (2) why it becomes so hard for our patients and clients to change their habits to achieve their goals.

What you’ll learn

At the end of this workshop, you will have:

  1. Learned what the 8 Sublevels of Awareness are.
  2. Gained an understanding of how the Sublevels of Awareness impact habit formation and success in the achievement of goals.
  3. Learned the best techniques to use the 7 Categories of Life to contextualize and establish goals for behavioral change.
  4. Learned and mastered strategies on how to teach patients and clients how to stay motivated and to achieve goals in a sustainable way.

Course modules that will be covered:

  1. The 8 Sublevels of Awareness and Habits
  2. Purpose, Behaviors, and Habits
  3. CBT and Beliefs

There will be approximately two 15-minute breaks and a 1-hour lunch break.

Here’s what attendees have been saying about SWEET seminars:

“Dr. Sidor brilliantly and vibrantly and generously and passionately brought the course material home today, giving concepts for change, names to go by. He further taught and reviewed the subtle nuances of behavior modification, and their underpinnings, and how to implement them. He pulled everything together into an empowering cohesive understanding. I loved everything about it. I feel exceptionally more empowered to be able to help myself and others. Thank you!!” – Elizabeth, LCSW-R

“II must admit I had difficulty with the concepts at first, but then a light bulb went off, and the complex made sense. Thank you!” – Cassandra, LMSW

“It reinforces the desire to work on a structured, understood plan to change behavior in a clean, clear way! This is an institute that wants to affect change and not just make money. Very rare!” – Holly, LCSW

“What stood out was how our habits are connected to self-image. I continue to enjoy this platform, as it provides flexibility to deepen clinical skills.” – Guillermina, LCSW

“I found all the different rules to be very useful, along with the need to take one step at a time to help bring about behavior change and self-esteem enhancement. What worked well was almost everything, including effective ways to help clients begin to change their self-defeating habits and behaviors.” – Louis, LCSW
