Introduction

Why is it that our clients do not want to suffer, yet seem to be trapped in this vicious cycle? The answer is their emotions. Our brain functions based on associations and memories, and emotions form the strongest bonds among them. As such, for our patients to decrease their suffering, they ought to decrease their emotional suffering. And to decrease their emotional suffering, please join us and learn how to help them with this.

This seminar is part of a series on DBT, which in turn is part of a weekly lecture-style series. If you are licensed in New York as a psychologist, social worker, or mental health counselor, you will be able to earn 1 CEU from each lecture-style seminar.

This series is also open for all other health professionals of any level or field throughout the United States and abroad.
