When working with people who are mandated to treatment, it becomes essential for us to not only look at the mandate as the reason for treatment, but really go deeper with our clients to truly understand why they are in treatment, who they are, and what they really want.
Whether mandated by the courts, an employer, or even by family members, how do we help our patients and clients feel empowered, committed, and able to engage in treatment no matter what brings them there?
