The Inside-Out Paradigm

What is the Inside-Out Paradigm?

Before even starting to address such a question, let us begin by looking at why we would even be talking about an Inside-Out Paradigm[1].

Here are three reasons why:

  1. Our clients believe that things work a certain way, when in fact, it all works in the exact opposite way
  2. Our clients hold a series of backward and erroneous beliefs, which are mistakenly taken as set in stone, and our clients have been running their life, based on these beliefs
  3. Being erroneous, these beliefs can only lead to life interfering results, which in turn leads to suffering, and the latter is the fundamental reason why it is essential for us to talk about the Inside-Out Paradigm.

The Inside-Out Paradigm is designed to correct this universal mistake in our client’s field of vision of life. The Inside-Out Paradigm is here to help clients understand how things really work; how life really works; who they really are; and, as a result, how to best navigate life.

Now, let’s start talking about the common field of vision of life for most people, including our clients, who are currently suffering. But, first, let us have a list that breaks down the common view of life, which is mistaken, yet universal, and is the underlying reason behind suffering:

  1. We’re stuck in the past.
  2. We think through the lens of the past. [2]
  3.  We perceive things, people, and ourselves through the lens of the past.
  4. We make decisions through the optic of the past.
  5. We go through life as if our field of vision was nonexistent, not knowing that our field of vision is actually the determining factor in every single area of our life.
  6. We’re going through life unaware of how it’s being run
  7. We’ve been trained to solve “problems” in a backward way
  8. We erroneously believe that what we do, what we have, or what we know is what really matters. This is despite the unlimited proof that many people do a lot without ever reaching their goals
  9. We think we really understand things when in fact, we don’t
  10. We think that things, and what people say, or do, mean exactly what we think they mean
  11. We do not realize that we’re the ones assigning meaning to everything
  12. We take our thoughts as being real, not realizing that they are just thoughts; not realizing that they have no intrinsic meaning other than the meaning we assign to them
  13. We are afraid of our feelings; trying to do whatever it takes to make them go away. We drink our feeling away; we eat them away; we scream them away; sex them away; and all this only makes things worse [3]
  14. We are ignorant of where feelings come from. We misunderstand that a feeling is simply a thought expressed or focused upon; and that it is only a sign of what thought we are having at the moment, whether we are aware of it or not [4]
  15. We are afraid of our thoughts, not knowing we are not at their mercy and can choose a new thought whenever we want. The moment we stop focusing on them, they cease to exists, and we have thoughts but we are not our thoughts.

These are 15 universal underlying reasons for suffering that is in our field of vision of life. And this is the reason why the SWEET Institute is resolute in pioneering the movement to end suffering in the world, by ensuring the world knows exactly how things work, and how things follow an Inside-Out Paradigm.
